This time it goes into the far east
To keep the tracks of the last Askanians
Our annual Poland trip leads us among others
to Miskowicze, the former Baehrwalde. The last
of the brandenburgian Askanian dynasty died here.
However we must commit this time a small sacri-
lege: so that the time to reach the polish border
gets not too long and we will be able to go deeper
inside to Poland, the first part of the tour will go
over the motorway until Frankfurt/Oder.
The full route doesn't stand completely yet.
We (Uwe and I) drove off the route today and
reaches about 520 km. Therefore it will still be
shortened, but will remain surely more than
400 km at least. Thus the return will be earliest
at 7 p.m.
Although no hardly border controls will take
place, you should have the green insurance
card with you.
Like always we meet at 9.30 a.m. at the bridge,
departure is at 10 a.m.
Regards Ron
And like always this notice:
Everyone, who has fun to it, can participate to this trip.
For joining the Motorradgemeinde-Europa no membership is
needed and there are also no obligations. Therefore every-
body is cordially welcome, regardless if he/she is an active
member of the forum or not. Always faithfully the slogan:
who is there, rides along with us and who is not there,
participates next time. Meeting place is always the
"crank bridge" (AVUS exit Spanische Allee) at 9.30 a.m.,
departure at 10.00 a.m. The machine should be filled up.
Return depending upon length of the route between 5-7 p.m.
We are to be recognized by our logo. The "racing duck"
wears some of us at the sleeve or back of the jacket.

@ Ron - I'm impressed! Is there any particular reason you posted a translation this time or will you do so more often in the furure? Anyway, I appreciate it, as it hopefully will draw more international attention to our "Gemeinde". If you don't mind, I'd like to make a small suggestion: change the American flag to a Union Jack or a combination of both. In my humble opinion that would be more appropriate as our forum is called "Motorradgemeinde Europa".
Regarding the tour, I will not be able to make it this time. But I am sure you will have a very nice day - as always!
I'll put the dictionary back in the shelf now,
best regards,
Thomy |

Hi Thomy,
You're right. There is a special reason for this
posting. I'm going to "catch" an american guy
and his friends to join us.
I think that he will be with us on the Poland
tour. But I'm in doubt, if he will take the high
hurdle to register here, because the whole
procedure is designed in german and the
register function doesn't work reliable.
But I'll look forward optimistic.
And by the way: I don't need a dictionary.
I'm always using the translator assistance of
the internet.
Regards Ron |

Hello Ron,
what part of Poland you will visit?
I spent many holiday weeks in Poland visiting friends in Cacow and near Moscow.
Together we were on holidays in the middle high mountains and twice also in Tatra mountains.
I hope I´m able to visit my Polish friends again soon.
Take care and a good trip from here.
Best regards
Frank |

Hi Frank!
We'll remain on the western part of Poland.
It would be very interesting to go deeper, but that's
not possible for a one day trip.

Hi guys,
what about a two- or three-day trip to Poland next year? I've been to Poland only once for about two hours - buying cigarrettes...
I'd be very interested in seeing a bit more of Poland, as I heard it must be a beautiful country with nice inhabitants and an interesting culture / history.
And it'd be much more fun to do such a trip together rather than going alone. What do you think?
Best regards,
Thomy
@Ron - To get our forum more international maybe we should translate the procedure of registering! And of course make it more reliable... (Rolf!?) Can't be that difficult, can it? |

Good idea!
As you know, I'm always interested in to making those
tours. And if Frank has got special knowledge about
Poland, than we should ask him for organizing.
So Frank: what about Poland next year? (It would
also be a great opportunity to see you personal).
Regards Ron |
